About the Inauguration Theme

The inauguration theme -- A Century of Growth, A Future of Leadership – marks 2018 as a pivotal moment in Bentley’s history.

We are moving from our first century (1917-2017), which saw Bentley rise from a local accounting school to one of the nation’s top business schools, into our second century, which will build on Bentley’s leading role in preparing students for rewarding careers and lives. The Inauguration Committee chose the theme to recognize this exciting time of transition between two eras.

The tree illustration complements the theme, joining the broad foundation of Bentley’s proud heritage with the promise of a bright future as the university continues to grow in academic strength and reputation. Like a tree spreading its limbs and leaves upward and outward, the sky is the limit for Bentley as we enter our second century.
